Warning to Parents: A Warranty Nightmare That Feels Like Robbery 📉
I’m writing this as a warning to other parents looking for glasses for their kids. I thought I was being responsible by purchasing the extra warranty, but it turned into a nightmare. After my son’s frame broke, the company's "solution" was a complete runaround that left me feeling cheated. My experience is that this place is the worst I've ordered glasses with added warranty and needed a replacement due to the frame breaking and each time I've needed a lens replacement they tell me my choice of frame is out of stock and will therefore he receiving a store credit plus a small % which doesn't make sense then how do I end up with a cheaper and lighter pair than the previous? I'm so tired of dealing with this crap from glassesusa plus a 30 deductible for the replacement. If you want quality eyeglasses for your child look elsewhere they seem like a good choice but are not . They haven't got 1 order right since purchasing with them but in order to not loose my money I have to choose until they get it right all while decreasing the value of my order I started at like 189 now it's somewhere around 130 a total joke and robbery you don't even realize due to the way they credit back and their fake discount codes. I decided to call customer service one last time to see if anything could be done.
Customer: I’m calling about my warranty replacement. For the second time, you’re telling me the frame is out of stock and offering me a store credit that’s worth less than what I paid. This is a total joke.
CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear about the issue with your replacement order. I understand your frustration. Could you provide me with your order number so I can review your account history?
Customer: It’s order 54321. I started with a $189 pair, and now my credit is down to around $130, plus you want another $30 deductible. How does that make any sense? It feels like you’re robbing me.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see the previous exchanges, and I sincerely apologize. The value of your credit should not be decreasing. Let me correct this for you. I will issue a full credit for the original $189 value and waive the deductible on your next pair.
Customer: And what happens when the next pair I pick is suddenly "out of stock" too? I'm tired of being forced to choose cheaper, flimsier frames.
CS Rep: I understand your concern. I can personally assist you in finding an in-stock replacement of equal or greater value and will ensure the order is processed correctly without any additional charges.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
